Outcomes

Participants will learn advanced Website development techniques using Adobe GoLive. Participants will learn how to use advanced Website creation features available in GoLive, including custom items and components, behaviors, and timelines. In addition, students will utilize many of the features available within the HTML 4 standard, including style sheets and layers.

Prerequisites

Completion of the GoLive: Visual Page Design, Level 1 course, or equivalent knowledge

What should you be familiar with?

Experience with another web-site publishing package, such as Dreamweaver or Frontpage

    Performance-based objectives
    • Work with custom items to manage repeating site elements.
    • Create CSS styles to streamline text formatting within a page, and create external style sheets to allow formatting information to be used throughout a site.
    • Create dynamic user interface elements, including simple rollovers and complex navigation bars.
    • Define keyword, description, and other meta tags in order to make your site visible to automatic search engine spiders.
    • Create floating boxes using a number of techniques, and manage the size, position, stacking order, and visibility of all floating boxes.
    • Combine floating boxes with behaviors to add additional visual feedback for a viewer navigating a site.
    • Work with timelines to create basic animations and complex time-based sequences on your site pages.
    • Target page content to specific browsers and versions.
